Chamber of commerce
The Chamber of Commerce formed in a city or town was a group of business and community leaders formed to improve the business environment, and increase business opportunities within the communities.
This was achieved through the creation of a coalition of business leaders known as the local Chamber of Commerce which had an alliance relationship with the Chamber of Commerce for a larger area.
